Hurricane Dolly left behind widespread damage at a favorite tourist spot in Texas -- South Padre Island.

Authorities worked to restore electricity after Dolly slammed the island Wednesday.

Texas National Guard troops and federal emergency officials have been distributing ice, water and food.

South Padre Island officials say no buildings are in danger of collapse, but there's evidence of the power of Dolly -- in the busy summer tourism season.

Some buildings have roofs missing or holes torn in the side of the structures.
